Apparently a new show is coming to town: Dinosaurs live Walking with Dinosaurs



This show looks awesome from all the videos I have seen. Unless I missed it, I have yet to see tour dates for Orange County. It includes 15 life-sized robotic dinosaurs including Tyrannosaurus Rex in a live performance on stage. Well, as alive as a robot can get.




If you go to their site, you'll find video clips which give you a feel for the show. I was never into dinosaurs but my daughter has memorized them all so I've learned to appreciate them.

We'll be keeping an eye out for when this show hits Orange County or somewhere in Southern California.

We don't get tv, but we do watch some videos especially educational videos. The Dinosaur Live show is based on the Walking with dinosaur series of programs on I believe the Discovery Channel. If you are not familiar with them, you can get the dvds like we did. The Walking with Dinosaur series of dvd's have been some of my daughter's favorite videos.

The Nigel dvds are even better. You 'live' the time of the dinosaurs with Nigel. The original Nigel DVD is Chased By Dinosaurs and the latest is Prehistoric Park.

Some of these can have some bloody or scary parts, so if you have kids that are squeamish or tend to have nightmares, you probably shouldn't get them.

Our first encounter with robotic dinosaurs was Dino mountain at San Diego Wild Animal Park. I have some video clips from that I'll add to a San diego wild animal park post someday soon. Hopefully someday soon they'll have dino mountain back.

For now, we are waiting patiently for Dinosaur live to come to Orange County. If you are looking for kid entertainment and your kids love animals and dinosaurs, this show should be a big hit!
